Abstract

We present data on the effective utilization of a programmed approach for preamniocentesis counseling as part of a tertiary-based prenatal genetic service. This program, which has been in operation for almost 3 years, involves a 1-hr presentation offered by an obstetrician, medical geneticist, or genetic counselor using a combination of audiovisual (slides and movie) and lecture presentation.
