Abstract

In late October 2012, a video went viral on the Internet. It showed a four-year-old girl wearing a pink “Hello Kitty” coat, her face streaked with tears, saying, “I’m tired of Bronco Bamma and Mitt Romney!" Off-screen, a woman asked, “That’s why you’re crying?" The girl nodded and choked back a sob. The woman responded, “Aw. .. it’ll be over soon Abby, OK?" The girl nodded again with her eyes shut while the voice continued soothingly: “The election will be over soon, OK?" The girl sobbed “OK” (Tired of Bronco Bamma 2012).
