Abstract
The paper reports on a study to assess by computer modeling the performance of this type of bridge during earthquake excitations. Two bridges were modeled based on their design drawings. The dynamic analyses were basically linearly elastic using the 'Response Spectrum Method' with ground accelerations applied in all three directions in space. The effects were combined by both the SRSS method and the absolute sum approach.
