Peritonitis in patients undergoing continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis

Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

Cystic neoplasms of the pancreas are rare lesions. Surgical resection is indicated to prevent malignant transformation of mucinous cystadenomas. Cystadenocarcinomas should be totally excised unless they are metastatic. Microcystic cystadenomas can be treated selectively as a result of their benign nature. Infection should be suspected when a previously asymptomatic patient presents with a septated cystic mass of the pancreas and the acute onset of abdominal pain, fever, and chills.
