Abstract

New Cu(III) oxychlorides with the stoichiometry Ba ₄ (Cu,M) O ₄ Cl ₄ (M=Li, Na) have been identified in the title system under ambient synthetic conditions and are found to possess the layered K ₂ NiF ₄ -type structure.
