Abstract
Nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) is providing of nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) in the intermittent mandatory ventilation (IMV) mode. This chapter will briefly summarize the equipment required and the technique of delivering NIPPV to neonates. In addition, it will also discuss NIPPV failures and indications for re-intubation.
