Abstract
Several groups have shown that magnetic microwires can have sizable microwave magnetoabsorption, which can be used for sensing and switching. We present a quasistatic model to describe this phenomenon, and we simulate the experimental observations using the dynamic permeability tensor to solve the vector wave equation. The simulations agree rather well even without any free parameters or detailed micromagnetic modelling of the magnetization process.
