Abstract
We report on the temperature, angular, and frequency dependence of the microwave magnetoabsorption of YBa2Cu3O7 c-axis oriented thin films. Some of the films were measured as-grown (pristine) while others were irradiated with 250 MeV Ag+17 ions whose fluences ranged from 0.5 to 10 × 1015 m-2. By an extension of the viscously-damped-vortices model of Gittelman and Rosenblum in conjunction with the anisotropic scaling of Blatter, Geshkenbein and Larkin, the various dependencies can be described rather well. A phenomenological description of the magnetoabsorption for the damaged films is given.
