Abstract

Sorry, I just lied to you. But I also told the truth, and that illustrates the problem. You thought I meant "the number one bestseller" on the New York Times list, didn't you? Sorry . . . I meant that the book will be the number one bestselling book written by Carl Hausman. And frankly, the income from my previous books is not something Alan Greenspan considers when plotting the course of the economy. In any event, if I'm wrong about my projected sales figures, blame destiny. You can't blame me, because my proclamation is so broad and inflated that I really can't be held to any specific meaning.
