Licenses, Credentials, and Privileges

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

In this chapter, we will discuss helpful tips to navigate the processes involved with obtaining medical licensure post residency, as well as accreditation and requests of privileges related to your specific practice setting. Prior to beginning the applications, personal organization of all necessary documents or utilization of a documentation service will help to streamline all of the aforementioned processes. The applications for medical licensure are in general similar but may vary state by state with regard to cost and processing time. Once you have your license, the next step will be to start the application for accreditation with your practice setting.
