Abstract
The applications of chemical process simulation in chemical engineering curriculum at schools are described. The courses in chemical engineering such as process dynamics, control and process optimization are computer intensive which benefit from dynamic process simulators and software packages. The process simulators are used in design courses and equilibrium stage operations with respect to multicomponent distillation. The addition of innovative unit operations enable process-simulation designers to develop valuable products with improved thermodynamic models.
