Abstract

Mind Mapping is a creative modality that is recognized and adopted internationally by governments, major corporations, and academic institutions but remains relatively obscure in the mental health literature. The authors draw from the research of Tony Buzan and examine the importance of Mind Mapping and its relevance as a creative tool that counselors can incorporate into their counseling repertoire. Step-by-step guidelines are provided for creating a Mind Map and an example of a practical application of the Mind Mapping is offered.
