Abstract
Instruction in membrane technology is an important aspect of curriculum development in the separations area. Teaching of this topic can be done in undergraduate lecture and/or laboratory courses and on the graduate level. This paper addresses the development of a graduate course that focuses on membrane processes. The course effectively ties together theory, design and applications using a well-balanced approach. Course development and instructional materials are discussed.
