Abstract
We consider the application of Feshbach resonance on the conversion of the coherent atom beam into the coherent molecular beam in a waveguide geometric configuration. We study the conditions under which the optimal conversion takes place in the steady-state operation. We present the analytical formulas for determining the optimal rate and spatial period of conversion under both arbitrary and simple situations. Results pertinent to the Feshbach resonance of sodium atoms at the threshold magnetic field B0 = 85.3 mT are both given and discussed.
