### Abstract

Suficient conditions are obtained for the existence of multiple so-lutions to the discrete fourth order periodic boundary value problem Δ^{4}u(t - 2) - Δ (p(t - 1) Δ u(t - 1)) + _{q}(t)u(t) = f(t; u(t)); t ε [1;N]_{Z}; Δ^{i}u(-1) = Δ^{i}u(N - 1); i = 0; 1; 2; 3: Our analysis is mainly based on the variational method and critical point the- ory. One example is included to illustrate the result.
