Abstract
The influence of an increase of average cation radius 〈rA〉 and cation size disorder on transport and magnetic properties of half-filled La0.5Ca0.5-yBayMnO3 was studied. Despite an increase of 〈rA〉, the ferromagnetism is inhibited in this compound due to the dominant effect of the cation size disorder. The charge-ordered antiferromagnetic state of this material was found to be stable to the influence of the cation size disorder.
