Abstract
Breast surgical oncology has become an increasingly popular career choice in recent years. As the medical management has become more complex and technology has advanced over the last two decades, breast surgery has become a specialized practice. It is customary nowadays for patients to prefer fellowship-trained breast surgeons whose primary practice is treating patients with breast disease. Given its popularity and a limited number of fellowship spots each year, it is important to know what the process entails prior to starting your endeavors.
